Every archetype builds its overall from different ratings. Pick a position and archetype to see how much overall 10 extra points of each rating are worth, measured rating by rating in Madden 27.
How to use it
Quarterbacks run through the same model as the QB Draft Analyzer. Everyone else uses the new position models.
Set up your draft
Enter your pick in each round (or list your exact picks) and add your team needs, down to the archetype. A Speed Rusher edge is a different need than a Run Stopper.
Scan before you type
Pick a position and the board tells you what to sort by on the grades screen and the physicals screen, plus a Generational first look. Add anyone who passes either screen.
Enter his grades and physicals
We only ask for the ratings that move his overall plus the few the guide reads, and combine numbers if you have them. You get a projected overall and a verdict: Generational candidate, Elite candidate, Top template, Starter or Long shot. Position and archetype stay set, so the next player is quick.
Follow your draft plan
The board maps one player to each of your picks, saving players who can't go early for later picks and flagging trade-ups worth a look. Thinking of trading up? The trade check prices the deal. Tap Mine when you draft someone and Gone when the CPU does, and the plan updates.
What the board knows
The CPU drafts off the rank list
Round 1 goes almost exactly in board-rank order. After that, nobody goes more than 31 picks before his rank, and good players get taken the moment that window reaches them. An 80 ranked 107th still lasts to about pick 76.
Elite dev depends on position
Superstar and X-Factor odds climb fast with overall, but not evenly. Every defensive tackle we've logged at 79 or higher went X-Factor. Corners at 77 or 78 almost never go elite, and offensive linemen top out at Superstar.
Generational players hide in plain sight
The game builds its best prospects from a handful of top templates, then labels them by their ratings, so a Generational back can show up as an Elusive Back. The board checks every archetype's Generational template, then splits the true 82+ kind from the 79 to 81 kind, and marks the best player in your class.
Fast DTs can play edge
A Speed Rusher DT with real speed and finesse moves keeps his overall at edge, and DTs go X-Factor more than any other position. The board tags them, projects them as edges and values them that way.
It's a beta
The board is built from twelve Madden 27 draft classes, plus ten classes of receivers and five of edge rushers, and checks every prospect against the game's Madden 24 templates. In blind tests on three full classes it had never seen, its projections missed by about 1 point on average. Tight ends and linebackers are thinner, and the board tags them. Every new class gets added and the numbers rebuilt.
About Maddening
Maddening is Madden franchise mode with the dial turned up: long rebuilds, strange challenges, and decisions that look bad until they don't. Every draft class gets tracked along the way, so the guides here run on real data, not hunches.
